1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using FediFind (fedifind.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and content submitters.

2. Description of service

FediFind is a live search and discovery interface for decentralized social networks. It queries Mastodon.social, Flipboard.social, and Bluesky in real time and returns results to you. We do not host, store, or moderate the content on those networks.

Registered users may submit links that we will publish to our own Fediverse accounts on their behalf, acting as an amplification service for the open web.

3. Use of the service

You may use FediFind for personal, editorial, research, and non-commercial discovery purposes. You agree not to:

• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the service at scale.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the search API.
• Use the service to harvest or aggregate personal data about other users.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.

4. Content submission rules

Registered users may submit links for publication to our Fediverse accounts. By submitting content, you represent that you have the right to share it and that it complies with the following rules.

The following content is strictly prohibited and will be blocked:

• Hate speech, content promoting hatred, discrimination, or violence based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
• Racist, segregationist, or white supremacist content of any kind.
• Pornographic, sexually explicit, or adult content.
• Content that sexualizes minors in any way.
• Harassment, threats, or targeted abuse of individuals or groups.
• Disinformation, deliberately false news, or manipulated media presented as fact.
• Spam, unsolicited commercial promotion, or affiliate marketing disguised as editorial content.
• Content that promotes or facilitates illegal activities.
• Malware, phishing, or links to harmful software.
• Content that violates copyright or intellectual property rights.

We reserve the right to refuse, remove, or block any submission that violates these rules, and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly or egregiously violate them — without notice.

5. Daily submission limits

Free registered accounts may submit up to 5 links per day. This limit resets at midnight UTC. The limit exists to ensure quality and prevent spam. Attempting to circumvent this limit (e.g., creating multiple accounts) is a violation of these terms and may result in all associated accounts being suspended.

6. Account registration

Registration requires only an email address. Each time you sign in, a 6-digit validation code is sent to your email — we use no passwords. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email and for all activity conducted through your account. You must provide an accurate email address and keep it current.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice.

7. Intellectual property

The FediFind name, logo, and interface design are the property of the FediBoard project. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute them without written permission.

Content returned in search results belongs to its original authors on the respective Fediverse networks. FediFind makes no claim of ownership over any third-party content.

8. Third-party networks and content

Search results are fetched live from Mastodon.social, Flipboard.social, and Bluesky. FediFind does not moderate, endorse, or take responsibility for the content on those networks. Each platform has its own terms of service and moderation policies.

Links to external websites in search results are provided for informational purposes only. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate, complete, or up to date.

Since search results depend on live API responses from third-party networks, their availability, accuracy, and content are outside our control.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FediFind shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the service — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or reputational damage.

11. Modifications to the service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect changes. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the jurisdiction in which the service is operated. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation in the first instance. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts.
